AC Milan took a 2-goal lead in the first half, but Real Madrid managed to score 3 goals in the second half to secure a 3-2 victory in a friendly match at the Rose Bowl stadium in the United States.

The match between Real Madrid and AC Milan at the Rose Bowl was the first encounter between both teams in their pre-season tour in the US. As is typical in friendly matches, neither side fielded their strongest lineup from the beginning.

On Real Madrid’s side, new signing Bellingham made his debut for the team after transferring from Dortmund. Brahim Diaz, who had spent 3 seasons with AC Milan, returned to play for Real Madrid and was also included in the starting lineup to face his former team. He partnered upfront with the newly acquired forward, Joselu.

Real Madrid dominated possession from the start, but their attacking play lacked sharpness, managing only 5 attempts on goal in the first half, none of which hit the target.

After surviving some heart-stopping moments against their opponents, AC Milan took advantage and went ahead. In the 25th minute, Tomori scored the opening goal with a header from a corner kick, as Real Madrid’s defense made a mistake in marking during the set-piece, leaving Tomori unmarked to receive the ball.

In the 42nd minute, substitute Romero unleashed a powerful shot from outside the penalty area, finding the top right corner of the net beyond the reach of goalkeeper Lunin, extending AC Milan’s lead to 2-0.

In the second half, Real Madrid made 8 substitutions, leading to a more dominant performance and an end to their goal drought.

In the 57th minute, Valverde fired a shot from outside the box that slipped past goalkeeper Sportiello to make it 2-1. Just two minutes later, Valverde leveled the score at 2-2 for Real Madrid. The Uruguayan midfielder intercepted the ball in the opposition’s half and unleashed another long-range shot, this time dipping into the net, leaving Sportiello unable to stop it.

The winning goal for Real Madrid came in the 84th minute when Modric played a long ball to Vinicius on a swift counter-attack. The Brazilian player neatly finished from the edge of the penalty area, beating goalkeeper Maignan and securing the 3-2 victory for his team.
